Washington Sate History Museum

Cassie and I had a busy weekend.

We did the MS Walk with "Team Susan". Susan is the mother of Cassie's best friend.
The Team was organized by Susan's sister, Sally, and raised around $7000 for the cause, and counting!

We also built a little gate for the underside of one of our flower boxes. Cassie's great idea!

Then we had our great friends Andrew and Sophia from Seattle over for the whole day. We showed them all the lovely parts of Tacoma including a visit to the Washington State History Museum (WSHM) in the quaint downtown Tacoma proper. But first we took a gander at some glass art on a bridge located between the WSHM and the Tacoma Museum of Glass. Stunning colors and shapes, and this was the free part! Can't wait to go inside someday.

That cone thing is the glass museum. (click on images to enlarge.)

The picture below is the ceiling of the bridge....

This is a picture of one of the grids in the ceiling. Beautiful eh? I could frame this.

...and this was the south wall containing all sorts of beautiful glass sculptures!

Large entry way to the WSHM.

These were just a few cool things we saw in there but there were so much more, you'd have to experience them in person to fully appreciate it. We all thought the museum was really well done and very interactive. We definitely recommend. Click here to learn more about the WSHM.

After a visit to the Cold Stone Creamery to find a cure for our sweet tooth, we then went on a nice long stroll through the neighborhoods to admire architecture and enjoy the sun. We finished the night off with food to go from our favorite Vietnamese restaurant and a movie at home. Thanks for hanging with us guys!
